EMC/EMI Testing

EMC = Electromagnetic Compatibility
EMI = Electromagnetic Interference
EMC testing ensures that a product:
- (emissions) does not emit excess electromagnetic energy
- (immunity) does not malfunction when exposed to excess electromagnetic energy (radio frequency interference, RFI)
EMC testing typically tests the following properties:
- emissions
  - conducted emission
  - radiated emission
  - flicker and harmonic
- immunity
  - conducted immunity
  - radiated immunity
